You aren’t taking a break from the economy, and neither are we. Alchemy-Spetec is operating at full capacity. As usual, we have plenty of inventory of both finished goods and raw materials. We are in constant contact with our suppliers and at this time we don’t foresee any supply chain disruptions. If anything changes, I will let you know.
While we are operating at 100% capacity, we are also mindful of our civic duty to help “flatten the infection curve” of the virus. We are practicing social distancing at work. We are wiping down door handles, faucets, and other high touch areas with bleach twice a day. We have cancelled all unnecessary travel and face to face meetings. Over half of our team is working from home.
So, while we are doing our part to stop the spread of the virus, we have decided not to participate in any sort of economic slowdown. We will do our part to keep America healthy – both physically healthy and financially healthy.
I understand that your organization may have changing needs in the following weeks. Please let us know what we can do to serve you better. As usual, we are here to help at 404-618-0438.
Sincerely,
Stephen Barton
CEO - Alchemy-Spetec

We're Thankful for the Repair Professionals Who Keep Our Infrastructure Safe
Georgia led the nation with nearly 200 high-hazard dams in unsatisfactory or poor condition, according to the AP's analysis.
Among them is Reservoir No. 1 in Atlanta, a 180 million-gallon water supply dating to the late 1800s that has been out of service much of the past few decades. The city made repairs and brought it back online in 2017, only to shut it down again after leaks were noticed.
If the dam were to catastrophically fail, the water could inundate more than 1,000 homes, dozens of businesses, a railroad and a portion of Interstate 75, according to an emergency action plan.
Excerpted from AP: At least 1,680 dams across the US pose potential risk
By David A. Lieb, Michael Casey And Michelle Minkoff
Warnings and stories similar in tone can be found in countless articles all over the web. Just Google "infrastructure problems North America" and see for yourself. This excerpt above describes a situation in Georgia - the home state of our headquarters and main office. Needless to say, we can relate to communities everywhere who take this issue very personally. The good news is that countless repair professionals across the land are tirelessly working to improve the condition of our infrastructure.
In the tradition of Thanksgiving, we would like to express our profound gratitude toward the hardworking crews on job sites all over this continent. If you are one of those repair professionals, THANK YOU! You consistently put yourself on the front lines of the infrastructure battle - repairing roads, railway beds, bridges, tunnels, water treatment plants, sewer systems, and countless other essential concrete structures. Our deep belief in this cause is what motivates us to work so hard in support of your efforts.

Most people come to realize at some point in their lives is that nothing is free. Least of all the precious freedoms we enjoy here in the United States of America. The rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are not free. They have been purchased with the blood of patriots. The brave men and women of the United States armed forces work very hard and consistently put their lives on the line to protect these freedoms for the rest of their fellow Americans.
Appreciation for our military is an important part of the Alchemy-Spetec company culture. For that reason, we are proud supporters of The Wounded Warrior Project. We take pride in every courageous individual who puts on the uniform and risks their own safety to defend the American way of life. Here at Alchemy-Spetec we have four out of five military branches covered by our employees, plus the National Guard. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our own heroes and all US Veterans for their service to this great country.

How to Donate to Hurricane Dorian Relief Efforts in the Bahamas
If you've been following the news lately, you are well aware of the devastation caused in the Bahamas by Hurricane Dorian. This disaster is hitting home with us here at Alchemy-Spetec, as one of our board members has friends in the Treasure Cay area who have been adversely affected. We would like to use today's blog post as an opportunity to provide information on how to donate to relief efforts for the Bahamas.
Here are a few options to choose from:
Treasure Cay Community Foundation
The Treasure Cay Community Foundation is an established US 501(C)(3) charitable organization and is approved to accept donations that are deductible for US taxpayers. Donations sent directly to TCCF are not subject to any collection fees, so more money goes directly to the relief effort.
Treasure Cay Emergency Services (TCESO) will be distributing relief supplies. The initial efforts will be humanitarian relief only, e.g. medical, food, water, shelter. The focus will be getting relief to Treasure Cay and surrounding communities where many of those who work in TC live.
There is no online option for donations. To Donate:
- Make your check out to TCCF and write “hurricane Dorian relief” in the Memo section.
- Mail it to Tom Wheeler, PO Box 305, Mentor, OH 44060.
(Funds received will be acknowledged by email and deposited in TCCF’s account at PNC bank. A donation acknowledgement and receipt will come from TCCF via letter.)
Bahamas.com
The official website of the Bahamas Islands also has a variety of donation options listed on this page. This link was recommended to us via the Embassy of the Bahamas of the United States.
American Red Cross
You are most likely already familiar with this organization. From their mission statement: "The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors."
